Welcome to EMU

EMU is the new name of the recently relocated NeuroGadgets Inc. Bioinformatics Web Service (NGIBWS). The service is now hosted by the Institute for Molecular Bioscience and ARC Centre in Bioinformatics at the University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia.

EMU is now up and running with 493 genomes available for analysis. We are trying to fix an issue with Results pages displaying correctly in Internet Explorer only.

Upcoming server relocation and likely interruption

There is going to be a server migration for EMU by the middle of 2008. New hardware dedicated to the Web service is being purchased, and hosting will once again cross the Pacific to live in North America. I will post updates relating to this, and the current server will always be linked to from my homepage. Further genomic updates are unlikely before the migration due to the computational load needed to update >500 genomes.

Unfortunately at this stage it looks like there will be a gap between decommissioning of the server in Australia and launch of the new server in Halifax. Please refer to this page and the one above for updates, and I apologize for any problems this service disruption may cause you.
